Covering the last complete year in the work of the Centre, this report details the extraordinary outcomes achieved through our Community Services, Cultural Programme, Venue and fundraising activities.
We are delighted to share that, from October 2024 – September 2025, the London Irish Centre…
Our community programmes went from strength to strength in this reporting period, responding to the needs of our community while directly improving clients’ lives through high quality, person-centred services.
In this time, we held 516 community and wellbeing activities, welcoming over 15,000 people to our tea dances, social groups, film screenings and days trips. We provided and support to 2,527 clients, helping many individuals at the point of crisis and gaining a 50% increase of 1.6million in income for our clients. For those who access our services, these funds can be truly life changing.
A key success during 2024-25 was the quality of support provided to survivors applying to the Mother and Baby Homes Payment Scheme, in which we gained £915,766 in income for our Survivors.

We continue to deliver an ambitious, inclusive and high impact cultural programme, championing Irish creativity and connecting the immense talent produced on our island with new audiences.
Last year, we relaunched Scoil na Gaeilge, our Irish language school in collaboration with Maynooth University, becoming the first and only Centre in Britain to offer teaching in line with the Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge certification.
In this time, we also launched our highly successful Sunday Seisiún concert series, providing a platform to new Irish voices in London while engaging new audiences with the work of the Centre.
“I still can’t believe how my luck has changed. I really didn’t know how I was going to move forward with my life in so many ways.
I’m slowly catching my breath, and I think I might be able to start piecing my life together again. I thank you from the very bottom of my heart.”
Quote from a client who had been sofa-surfing and in great distress. They were supported by our Community Team to find long-term, secure accommodation in Kilburn.
None of this would be possible without the generous support shown by our community of volunteers, donors, partners and funders, who ensure that we can continue improving the lives of the Irish in London for many years to come.
