For 70 years, the London Irish Centre has stood at the heart of Irish life in London.

Today, we are preparing for the next chapter in that story.
The existing building in Camden Square, though deeply loved, no longer meets modern standards of accessibility, sustainability, or functionality. To serve future generations and secure the Centre for the next seventy years, our trustees have committed to a complete redevelopment of our home.
This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reimagine what the London Irish Centre can be.
The new London Irish Centre will be a vibrant, inclusive, and world class creative and community hub.
It will dramatically expand our ability to bring people together through arts, culture, social connection, enterprise, and vital support services. Designed for the modern Irish community and those drawn to Irish culture, the Centre will be a landmark space for London and beyond.

The redeveloped London Irish Centre has been designed as a landmark cultural and community destination. A space that reflects the energy, creativity, and diversity of modern Irish life in Britain, while honouring the Centre’s proud legacy. Some of its features will include:
The London Irish Centre has long been a meeting place. A crossroads over the sea. A place where heritage is celebrated, culture is experienced, friendships are formed, and support is provided when it is needed most.
Ireland is changing. The Irish diaspora is changing. The needs of our community are changing.
Our redevelopment ensures that the Centre evolves alongside them.
It allows us to expand our cultural programme, deepen our community impact, strengthen our support services, and grow sustainable income that underpins our long term stability.

Redevelopment will require the temporary closure of our Camden Square building.
However, the work of the London Irish Centre will not pause.
Whilst the future is being built, we will continue operating as a charity, delivering services, programmes, and cultural activity through partnerships, outreach, and a strengthened digital presence.
For seventy years, the Centre has been defined not by walls, but by people, relationships, and community.
During this period, we will draw upon that legacy to bridge our service delivery. We are using seventy years of progress, connection, and friendship to sustain and expand our work.

The projected cost of redeveloping our home in Camden Square is £30 million.
