We had exciting plans for the holidays at the Centre. On Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day we had hoped to welcome a small number of people into the Centre who were spending Christmas alone.
Unfortunately, with the Tier 4 announcement just before the holidays we had to adapt our plans for the safety of our community.
With that in mind, we instead delivered Christmas hampers and meals and made regular check-in calls with those who were spending Christmas alone.
Our Community Fridge was open on New Year’s Eve so that families in need of food had a place they could come to safely.
