Today (Tuesday, 15th Sept), we will begin to safely welcome you back to our building, with the launch of our new Community Café.
Working with partners, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, we will serve nutritious, traditional Irish meals on-site in our Community Café.
As safety is our first priority, we will be operating temperature check, one-way routing, social distancing, face-coverings and more, in careful compliance with Covid guidelines.
To begin with, we will prioritise and welcome 10 people at a time, who have been receiving our food parcels or have attended the lunch club in the past. Each person will be given a 90 minute booking slot. We hope to expand this in the near future.
Those coming to the Community Café will also have the chance to buy some Irish produce from An Siopa, our Irish shop.
Community Café attendees and/or local residents who are struggling can also take home a food parcel from our Community Fridge, the contents of which have been kindly donated by The Felix Project and FareShare.
And finally, our friends at Innisfree Housing Association have kindly offered the use of their minibus two days a week to collect those who may not otherwise make it to the Community Café.
This exciting milestone would not be possible without the hard work and support of our staff, volunteers, partners and funders.
