Befriending Coordinator

Caroline is third generation Irish, born in Cambridge.

With an early career in child development, she left the UK in 1996 to live and work in Dublin. Whilst there she retrained to work within the Voluntary and Community sector where she then was employed in several intergenerational family support settings in inner city Dublin; supporting vulnerable clients and developing volunteer led initiatives in conjunction with the City Corporation.

After leaving Ireland, she travelled and lived in Barcelona teaching English to local students.

Returning to the UK in 2004, she took up residency in London. Here she returned to her passion of community work which included coordination of Mentoring and Befriending services within various sectors, of which she has over 12 years’ combined experience.

Caroline joined the LIC in 2017.
