Dermot will be joined by a host of musicians who will come together to perform some of their favourite Irish songs as well as stripped-back versions of their own material. This very special one-off event will be set around the piano from the legendary Irish dancehall, the Galtymore.
Each week in the lead up to the show, a new performer will be announced, with the first guest being announced on August 19th – stay tuned to the London Irish social media channels.
Ahead of the event, Dermot O’Leary said:
“I was blown away by the response we got to last year’s event with Ed Sheeran so we decided to plan something extra special for this year. Joining me on the 26th September will be a host of amazing Irish artists coming together in a unique Irish way. This promises to be something really special which you just couldn’t see anywhere other than the LIC. I hope you will join us on the night in raising vital funds for the future of the London Irish Centre. ”
The London Irish Centre is currently embarking on a re-development plan that aims to improve and upgrade the facilities available to ensure the Centre continues its work supporting the Irish in London for many years to come. The plan will re-imagine and re-position the Centre into a world-class community and cultural centre.
