She worked in the bar and has volunteered in many different capacities over the years.
Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, Maeve was always out and about leading a busy lifestyle and was not used to staying at home.
Throughout the lockdown, she was grateful to have meals and food parcels delivered by the London Irish Centre. She says “I would have been lost without the Centre. It was a lifeline, not just for me, but for everyone”.
Now as we reopen the building, Maeve is back volunteering with our Peer Support Groups three days a week, checking people in when they arrive at the groups.
We are delighted to have her back!
