Orla Ralston

Originally from Belfast, Orla has been based in London since 1998 and is Managing Director, and Head of Investment Tax in the London office of OMERS, with a focus on investment in Infrastructure and Private Equity businesses across Europe. Orla is also Head of Operations for OMERS Infrastructure in Europe. Prior to joining OMERS in 2016, she spent 11 years at Goldman Sachs having previously spent over 6 years at Slaughter and May. Orla holds a joint honours degree (LLB) in Law & Accountancy from Queen’s University Belfast and is qualified as a solicitor in Northern Ireland, and in England and Wales. She is also a Trustee of the Compass Partnership of Schools, a charitable trust of 11 schools based in Greenwich and Essex.
In her spare time, Orla plays the violin, and regularly plays with amateur orchestras in London. She also is a keen tennis player and, as a mum of three, spends a lot of time on the sidelines of hockey and rugby pitches supporting her children’s sporting endeavours. She also regularly returns “home” to Northern Ireland, where her parents and many more family members reside, as well as to Dublin to see her siblings and the odd rugby international in the Aviva!
