Advice & Support

At the London Irish Centre, we provide specialist accredited information and advice on a wide range of welfare issues.

We’re also here to provide support to people who are in crisis or need logistical help. We can offer advice in the following areas:

  • Welfare benefits
  • Housing
  • Obtaining Irish birth certificates and passports
  • Returning to Ireland
  • Moving to London
  • Applying for a National Insurance Number
  • Opening a Bank Account
  • Irish & UK pension advice

We have two types of hardship grants available for those who are struggling or in crisis. For full details on The Benevolent Society of St. Patrick grant and the Irish Youth Foundation grant, click here.

We also have a dedicated Citizenship & Identity office to help with all passport enquiries.

We are experiencing a high demand for our service at the moment so have made some temporary changes to our response times and opening hours.
