Traditional Irish Group Dancing.

Designed for young adult beginners. Partner
not required. A great way to get fit, have fun, and make friends!
Dancing in groups of eight, six, fours or twos.
All dances are called. The sessions are for enjoyment and great for relaxing from
the stresses of the week.

Our aim
is to preserve and promote the traditional dances of Ireland handed down
through the generations.

Full
instructions are given. Footwork will be taught and can be basic or more advanced.
Dance to reels, jigs, hornpipes, polkas, and slides. Learn the styles from each
county such as the polka style from Kerry or the reel style from Clare. Learn
at your own pace. Dances are a mixture of Set dances, Céilí dances, two hands,
sean-nós, and more from across Ireland.

Wear
casual clothes and comfortable shoes.

These
sessions will run every Tuesday until the end of July. There will be no
sessions in August. Sessions will then resume in September.

Damhsa

Happy
dancing to you!
