The work of the London Irish Centre has been life changing for those that need our support most in the past year. Although the shoots of spring and hope are emerging, we still need the support of our generous donors, Friends, and the wider community who play a crucial part in keeping our doors open, our services accessible and a warm Irish welcome for those that need it.
By donating today to the London Irish Centre, you too will help us to continue the excellent work we do. We are often asked if a small amount of money really can make a difference. It can, and does!
Here’s just one story from thousands:
John (not his real name), is aged 58 and lives a chaotic lifestyle in Southwark. He had lost all of his IDs and was no longer able to access any social welfare support. He came to us and we were able to purchase a replacement birth certificate for him for £20. Using this he was able to get his benefits reinstated and is now able to pay for his heating. A relatively minor amount of money but with a major impact to John and his day-to-day life. All donations are so important, and really so help those in need.
Your generosity keeps us going. It keeps isolated older Irish people in touch with specially-trained befrienders. It keeps those in need in touch with those who can help. It provides food and shelter for those that need it. It will help us to recover from Covid 19. Please do help us to continue these efforts.
